Paris Hilton Wins In Court But Still On the Hook For

It was a much better result for Paris Hilton this time round in court, since the last time the blonde socialite was handed down a stint in a correctional facility for DUI.

But this time, Miss Hilton escaped with no judgement against her in a court case brought against her for the costs of a film she had been accused of not promoting properly.

Although a judge in Miami ruled that Hilton wasn’t guilty of neglecting honour her agreement to promote the movie, she may still be liable for a $1m fee she was paid to appear in and executive produce 2006 comedy National Lampoon’s Pledge This! The film’s investors had been seeking $8.3m in damages, claiming the granddaughter of the Hilton hotel magnet, failed to promote its DVD release.

Chicken feed in the world of Paris, but she still has until August 28 to argue her case for keeping the fee paid to her by Worldwide Entertainment Group, who now claim that the company’s demise was a result of her lack of interest in promoting the movie.
