Abbie Cornish Speaks to W Magazine Who Want to Know, ‘W’hat, ‘W’hy, ‘W’here and ‘W’hen?

It hasn’t been easy for Australian actress, Abbie Cornish, being in the public eye, since she teamed up with Ryan Philippe, the ex-husband of Hollywood’s ‘girl next door’ Reese Witherspoon.

And in an interview with America’s W Magazine the Stop Loss actress opens up about being ‘the other woman’ when she and Philippe were first seen out together, hiding behind partitions in a restaurant, and later The National Enquirer reported that his wife, Reese, had picked up his Blackberry and read text messages that had been sent between Philippe and Cornish. It wasn’t long after this that Witherspoon announced her split from her husband, although Cornish and Philippe refute these rumors.

Abbie tells W, “It was a really difficult time for me, It was just this world of tabloid magazines that I’d never been exposed to. In a normal successful career, someone usually learns these things bit by bit. For me, it was like night and day. I woke up one day and there was this whole new thing I had to process and deal with.’

The interview continues putting her relationship with Ryan under the microscope when it poses the question, “Have you spent time with Ryan and Reese’s two kids?”
“Of course, yeah.”
“Are you and Ryan engaged?”
“No.”
“Do you have plans in that direction?”
“I don’t know, I think I’m nearly ready to go on to another part of the conversation.”
