Celebrities flock to the inauguration of Barack Obama

Monday, November 9, 2009

Barack Hussein Obama, 47, became the 44th president of the United States at noon today ET, January 20, 2009. Promising a new era of “hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord.”

There was a crowd estimated between 1 to 2 million to witness the swearing in of our first African American president. Celebrities included.

Actor Denzel Washington and music legend Smokey Robinson were in the first section before the podium. Civil rights leader Jessie Jackson, our Oprah Winfrey and her long time companion Steadman Graham were also among the spectators. “Obama is going to make America a better country. It’s going to make me a better person,” Winfrey said.

I’m excited to see what President Obama will do for our country. Change is here.

Yours Truly, Jaime Love
